Assessments

for Self- and Team- Awareness

“If your emotional abilities aren’t in hand, if you don’t have self-awareness, if you are not able to manage your distressing emotions, if you can’t have empathy and have effective relationships, then no matter how smart you are, you are not going to get very far.” – Daniel Goleman

. . .For this journey toward awareness, a coach is an essential guide

Individual Coaching with Assessments

I have training in and am experienced with facilitating the following assessments:

  • VIA Institute of Character - Total 24 Character Strengths Report or the Top 5 Character Strengths Report. Learn more about how this rigorously studied assessment has proven impact in the workplace. My clients take this assessment before our first session so that we can build a roadmap to success that is asset based.

  • DiSC Assessment - The DISC assessment is a behavioral self-assessment tool that measures four personality traits most common in the workplace. This assessment is best with teams, but it can also used in individual coaching

  • Whole Person Strengths Report - Designed by the team at BetterUp, the Whole Person Model was developed with the goal of re-envisioning leadership development. As a BetterUp coach, I use this model with my clients at BetterUp.

Team Coaching with Assessments

  • DiSC Team Building Session (3-4 hours). Using the DiSC Assessment as data, teams engage in thoughtful and energizing conversations to build your team’s own personal working model based on the 4 DiSC working styles. This experience is tailored to your team’s own unique needs and strengths. Learn more about the DiSC

  • VIA Institute of Character - (2-4 hours) Using the Total 24 Character Strengths Report or the Top 5 Character Strengths Report. Teams develop an asset based approach to understanding of working with each members own personal strengths.

  • After Assessments - Follow up team coaching to establish working norms and to move toward a powerful team model. Teams develop much quicker if there is follow-up.

  • Challenging Conversations. In this 4 session workshop, your team will develop their ability to engage in challenging conversations with one another. Tools drawn from neuroscience, mindful communication, and nonviolent communication.

“At the end of every session I've broken through challenges and have a clear path and next steps. I've experienced a great reception from my colleagues as I try out the strategies we discuss, and I truly believe I'm advancing in my leadership thanks to my work with Carrie-Ann.” -Megan, Nonprofit Program Director
